Our hearts are saddened today upon learning of the Dairy Gold in Red Bank closing. In the landscape of fast food restaurants the Dairy Gold provided something special that was the “plentyburger”, french fries, chicken fingers and assorted ice cream combos and delicious milkshakes. We salute the owners, operators, cooks, counter help and customers over the years who made Dairy Gold a great place to satisfy a hunger or a thirst. As a couple we had our first date there and returned many times over the years for dinner, lunch and even milkshakes. It is my hope that someone will see a great opportunity to continue the tradition of Dairy Gold. In a year when we said goodbye to The Town and Country it makes my heart even sadder to see another local institution close its doors. Today we raise our milkshakes in honor of the Dairy Gold. A precious place always remembered.
